AUSTRALIA - 7/12/01 to 4/2/02
You don't realise how big the place is until you actually get there and start travelling around. We learnt very quickly...!

At the Tropic of Capricorn

BRUNEI - 4/2/02 to 4/3/02 and 29/5/02 to 7/10/02 and again 03/04 to 11/04
The kingdom of unexpected treasures... so the posters say. Unfortunately, no one has bothered to come and look for them yet...

Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre

BELIZE
- 27/6/2001 to 24/8/2001
So much to do and see in a country so small with the added bonus that it's the only English speaking country in Central America ...

BURMA - 3 trips from Feb to April 2003
A land of a thousand unexplored islands. Just a shame the fishermen have discovered dynamite.

CYPRUS - 12/4/2000 to 31/5/2000
Our first diving job lasted less than one day day as the dive shop owner wanted us to feed living Sea Urchins to the fish - his reasoning being that the fish did not know how to feed themselves.....

EGYPT - 15/7/2000 to 15/10/2000
Supposedly the best diving in the world. We thought it was over-dived, over-rated and exploited - so why did we stay for three months?

The ugly Stargazer

GREECE - 15/5/1998 to 30/10/1998 and again 17/10/2000 to 31/10/2000
Lifestyle on the Greek Islands is so wonderful and laid back. The water is warm and crystal clear. The only problem is.... They've eaten all the fish!!

City of Kos Dive boat

ISRAEL - 1/6/2000 to 15/7/2000
A country full of arrogant people, but, once you get to know them they are warm and friendly and friends for life....

The alleyway where we lived in Eilat

INDONESIA - 28/7/1999 to 19/9/1999
Life on Gili Meno was idyllic. No electricity, no fresh running water, but a lovely bungalow on the beach, fresh fish for dinner every night and amazing marine life to dive with...

MALAYSIA - 30/5/1999 to 28/7/1999 and 3/10/02 to 19/10/02
After fourteen days of hard work, Tracy becomes a Scuba Diving Instructor on Tioman Island. But work is short lived as she is caught working illegally by immigration on the Perhentian Islands...

Poor Chumpy the Macaque

NEW ZEALAND - 5/10/01 to 7/12/01
A most green and pleasant land. Sadly it rained most of the time we were there, but it didn't stop us diving...

The Sky Tower in Aukland

SOUTH AFRICA - 1/11/2000 to 28/12/2000
An amazing country, nearly every dive turns out to be a whale watching trip on the boat ride and each walk down to the shops turns in to a wildlife safari full of cheeky monkeys..

PHILIPPINES - 24/9/03 to 17/3/04 and 6/12/04 to 15/01/06
This was a country that always alluded us. We always intended to go to and now we have been. 7000+ islands to see and we saw 3!

THAILAND 3/4/1999 to 30/5/1999 and again 21/7/1999 to 29/10/1999 and again 17/11/2002 to 06/03

East Coast      West Coast
Breathtaking scenery, idyllic beaches, amazing diving (in parts!), friendly people, cheap food and accommodation. Our first tropical country visited and one of the few to which we returned to.

OTHERS

This page is for countries we have been to but only did a few dives so they don't warrant a page for themselves, but has some useful information.....
